We are Local Medical Services Ltd – acquired by myself in December 2017 from a previous owner. We have grown beyond my imagination since then and have provided and continue to provide patient care and transport both privately and to the NHS. We currently work for multiple ambulance services as well as directly with hospitals.
My previous experience included spending 6 years in the Army (reserve and regular) as part of in the Royal Yeomanry then The Queens Royal Lancers. I was on active duty in Afghanistan where I trained to be a patrol Team Medic, this was where my interest in the medical sector was made apparent to me.
Leaving the Army, I began my career within the ambulance service, firstly as an Ambulance Fleet Assistant moving through to Emergency Care Assistant and on to my current position as a IHCD Technician. I still work shifts frontline to ensure my skills and expertise are up to the gold standard of the NHS. This work led me to want to provide care outside of the NHS as I was able to see firsthand the gaps in care that needed to be filled by private medical services.
We are delighted to sponsor London Heat 999 Ice Hockey Team, they are made up from players across all three of Londons emergency services. They play in charity games to raise money and awareness for a wide range of charities and organisations connected to each service and the people they help. You can find me at all the games that my schedule allows!
